Last October, 1 Love 4 Animals was honored to receive a $50,000 grant through a donor-advised fund of the Foxwynd Foundation. This generous investment immediately scaled our response to animals in crisis, funding surgeries and life-saving medical treatments for animals rescued from neglect and abuse. The grant also brought 1 Love 4 Animals within $250,000 of our Almost Home campaign goal to build a new, state-of-the-art shelter in Chester Spring, PA.
Now entering the second phase of this campaign, 1 Love 4 Animals is well-positioned to advance two high-impact infrastructure projects. The first will double kennel capacity, eliminating monthly boarding fees. The second will expand on-site veterinary services, substantially reducing costs associated with external providers for routine procedures.
Together, these projects are expected to save hundreds of thousands of dollars annually, freeing up resources for reinvestment in the direct intervention and innovative advocacy that enable 1 Love 4 Animals to support pets, pet owners, and animal welfare organizations nationwide—and advance humane standards of care across the globe.
“What stands out about 1 Love 4 Animals is their ability to think long-term while responding to urgent needs. By investing in infrastructure and capacity, they are building a model that is both compassionate and sustainable. We are proud to support work that strengthens not only immediate outcomes but also the future of animal care," said Pamela Villagra, Executive Director of the Foxwynd Foundation.
