It’s National Small Dog Rescue Week and every day for the next seven days 1 Love 4 Animals will feature a spectacular small dog in need of a home.

First up: Greer is a five year-old Westie-poo who came to our rescue from Brooklyn Animal Control. Sweet as they come and hypo-allergenic. Please fill out an adoption application below if you are interested. Available to qualified families.

1 Love 4 Animals places our dogs and cats in carefully screened homes. Excellent veterinary references are required if you have pets or have had pets in the last five years. We require a fenced yard (better underground fence systems accepted) but we do make exceptions if applicants live in townhouse communities with rules prohibiting dogs from running at large. All of our animals are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and assessed for temperament.

Our adoption counselors will process your application within 48 hours. You must complete our easy application (scroll down) before we can move forward with any adoption.

Please understand 1 Love 4 Animals conducts home visits prior to adoptions so our volunteers must drive to applicants' homes. If you live outside of our adoption area (which is quite large) we may have trouble traveling to your home/city/state so we suggest you adopt from and support your local animal shelter or rescue. There are many great dogs and cats looking for their forever homes in shelters all across the country (unfortunately.)

“Leza” is a 3 year old beagle who is currently in treatment for heartworm. She’ll need to be fairly inactive for the next few months but there is no reason to believe she won’t be 100% after that time. Sweet as pie does not come close to describing her personality. Will you give her a warm and loving home this winter?

“Max” is smart, sassy, affectionate, alert, energetic and listens to commands. Great with other dogs. Cats? Who knows, but he shows a bit too much interest in Eliot the parrot.😊. He really wants to be someone’s special boy and he will not disappoint. He’d love to sleep on your bed. He is an excellent watch dog. He talks a lot and he smiles! Housebroken, but not perfect. Probably best with older kids as his mild mouthiness could be misinterpreted as an attempt to bite. He is not a biter! He loves to go for walkies. He is going to make someone a fantastic sidekick.
